Somos Hermanos began more than five years ago from a simple idea: that small actions, repeated every Sunday, can change the course of a child's life. We believe the world gets better when we treat each other as brothers.

Sunday after Sunday, baskets that reach those who need them
We bring food help baskets to children in the Sonsonate area. Each basket arrives with food and, very often, with a handwritten letter for a child.
Hand in hand with Iglesia Bitinia
We work alongside the Sunday Bible School program of Iglesia Bitinia to deliver these baskets to the children, Sunday after Sunday. They know the families and help make sure each basket reaches the right hands.

Somos Hermanos is the social arm of Tacos Hermanos, the Salvadoran taco group. Every Sunday, Tacos Hermanos donates more than 300 baskets, and the community adds their own from the restaurant. Buy your basket at any of their houses and be part of the story.

What is Somos Hermanos?
Somos Hermanos is a Salvadoran foundation, the social arm of Tacos Hermanos. Since 2021 it has delivered help baskets to children who need them in the Sonsonate area, every Sunday of the year.
How can I donate a basket?
Buy a help basket (or as many as you like) at any Tacos Hermanos restaurant. You can write a message to the children, and that letter travels with your basket.
When is my basket delivered?
Your basket is delivered the same Sunday. If your donation is made after Thursday, it is delivered the following Sunday.
Where are the baskets delivered?
In the Sonsonate area of El Salvador. We work hand in hand with the Sunday Bible School of Iglesia Bitinia to reach the children.
Can I write to the children?
Yes. When you buy a basket you can leave a handwritten message. Each letter arrives with the basket, and many children keep it as their favorite part.
